Another friend told me about her experience with iPhoto on the Mac. Good news is that photos are finally going to good use! No more dusty shoeboxes that get looked at once every few years! I've been using it for about 18 months. While not perfect I've put together some pretty cute albums of travel and most recently put together a memory book for my niece that just graduated from high school. It allows you to organize and tag all your digital photos (or scanned ones) and then select from a variety of template for creating a photo album.
